Having
had our first fair, we are pretty pleased with the results. These can be seen on
a lot by lot basis here. Overall, we achieved a rate
of 52 % selling. If you take out the maps and artwork, then the books alone
achieved a sale rate of 60%
We intend to hold our next auction in early November, so do keep an eye out here for further details.

Tuesday is also Market Day in Salisbury, so there is plenty to see in the
town. We have now completed the Catalogue page
- So the full catalogue and quite a few photographs are available here. Our catalogue
is also be viewable via the Antique
Trade Gazette.
Alongside the auction there will be a
small book fair
.
(This is NOT an official PBFA fair). This should ensure that there is something for everyone on the
day. Of course, while you are in Salisbury we would encourage you to visit our
shop.
We are now accepting consignments for the auction. We hope that it will be clear from the start, that we are not a bookseller auctioning off their own stock, but rather are offering a variety of lots from the public and trade - many of which have not been sold before.
We appreciate that we are a new auction, and so have set our commission rates very competitively.
Our commission rates: are Sellers commission 10% to £10,000 and 7.5% thereafter;
Buyers commission is 10%. Both rates are
eligible for VAT.
We can arrange to ship any purchases you make as cheaply as possible. For individual books, this would generally be via Royal Mail Registered Post. For large purchases, we can send via ParcelForce for £12 per box. (up to 30Kg). Overseas shipping is also possible at cost.
